It’s true, six 199kw ETA Commercial Biomass Boilers really are better than a 1.2mw boiler — longer warranties, cheaper servicing costs, cheaper initial installation costs, and that’s before you even consider redundancy. In the unlikely event of one boiler being out of action you are still earning RHI from the other five and still heating five of your six sheds with biomass. With one big boiler all is lost.
To recap — six biomass boiler containers were delivered to Whittal-Williams’s poultry farm at Bream several weeks ago. The site is on a series of steps down a wooded hillside in the Forest of Dean. Tom Whittal-Williams considered installing a one megawatt boiler with a district heating system, but the stepped site sits on bedrock and the top shed is getting on for 500m distant from the bottom shed, which made laying a district heating main impractical. It was this that finally made his mind up to go with six of our biomass containers, but it turned out to be a wise decision for other reasons as well.
You might think six boilers would cost a fortune to maintain and that one big boiler would be a cheaper option when it comes to service and maintenance. Not so — we offer a service agreement on six boilers combined that still comes in at half the price offered by competitors on a single large boiler. We also out perform our competitors on warranties. Most, if not all, offer just a one year warranty, with no guarantee of parts availability in the future. Commercial Biomass Partnership, with ETA’s excellent backup, is able to offer a full parts and labour guarantee for the first year AND a four year parts warranty. ETA also guarantee the availability of the parts for at least twenty years. It is service like this that has made them the best selling biomass boiler in Germany.
We fit the best of everything. Even the Geberit pipe system we install has a twenty year guarantee on it. How’s that for peace of mind?
