Biomass energy can help organisations comply with the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS).

Organisations that qualify for ESOS must carry out ESOS assessments every 4 years. These assessments are audits of the energy used by their buildings. Also, industrial processes and transport to identify cost-effective energy saving measures.” gov.uk
If you are a UK company that: Either employs more than 250 people, or has an annual turnover in excess of 50 million euro (£38,937,777), and an annual balance sheet total in excess of 43 million euro (£33,486,489), you might be obliged to carry out an ESOS assessment. The assessment identifies what your organisation needs to do to comply with the ESOS regulations. You will need to submit your assessment to the Environment Agency. Futhermore, when you have undertaken an ESOS assessment and are compliant with your obligations, and keep records of how you have complied with ESOS in an evidence pack. Organisations will have a fine up to £50,000 for failure to undertake an energy audit, and also face fines for non-compliance.
